EPAA 3Rs Science Prize 2022
EPAA aims to replace animal testing with innovative, non-animal methods, reduce the number of animals used, and refine methods for which there are no alternatives or which are insufficient to ensure the safety of substances. Partners pool knowledge and resources to accelerate the development, validation, and acceptance of alternative approaches at the national, European, and global levels.
The 3Rs Science Prize 2022 is awarded every two years to a scientist with an outstanding contribution to the 3Rs. This prize aims to promote contributions from industry or academia and encourage more scientists to direct their research towards the 3Rs goals. Scientists working on relevant methods for regulatory testing (e.g., safety, efficacy, batch testing) and making an outstanding contribution to the application of the 3Rs are eligible to apply for the award.
