The Danish 3R Center was founded in 2013. It is the result of a collaboration between animal welfare organizations and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry. The European Research Association is an organization with members from private and public research groups, breeders, industry and representatives from the animal testing sector. It is represented in 23 European countries and in 5 countries outside Europe. Its platform serves to forward information about animal experimentation and its advantages and disadvantages. On the website, it is possible to filter between the different member countries to be informed about their latest findings. The organization regularly publishes newsletters and is even present on other media such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Youtube.

Ecopa is a European consensus platform with the aim of promoting the 3Rs. To achieve their goal they want to create consensus among stakeholders from politics, science, industry and animal welfare. Their website offers some information material on the 3Rs as well as reports on past events of the community.

EURL ECVAM, the EU Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing, is part of the JRS (Joint Research Centre), a Directorate General of the European Commission. Under the item "Our activities" the main activities are listed. Information on alternative methods and 3Rs and related publications from various biomedical research areas are provided. The European Society for Alternatives to Animal Testing is a European network of the 3Rs principles. EUSAAT was founded in 1993 as the Central European Society for Alternatives to Animal Testing (MEGAT) and changed its name to EUSAAT in 2008. EUSAAT regularly organizes a congress to communicate relevant topics and news from the 3Rs field.

Fincopa is the Finnish national consensus platform for alternative methods. It is a member of Ecopa. In cooperation with research, industry and animal welfare organizations, it ensures the implementation of the 3Rs in animal experimentation. To achieve its goals, Fincopa regularly organizes meetings or participates in initiatives of other organizations.

NC3Rs is the UK's 3Rs organization. They provide financial support for projects in the 3Rs and offer an annual PhD Studentship to support young researchers. Their "3R resource library" contains a lot of information material on the 3Rs.

Norecopa is Norway's 3R platform. On approx. 9000 pages, the Norecopa website offers a large amount of information material in the form of various resources around the 3Rs and a Refinement Wiki.

Rema is the Spanish network for the development of alternative methods to animal testing. The website provides information about the organization and its goals. Rema also offers courses and training on the 3Rs in cooperation with other universities. Under the heading "Activities", past courses, trips and awards are noted on the website.

The R2N, standing for Replace and Reduce, is an association of five research institutions from the field of biomedical or ethical medical science from Lower Saxony. Their goal is the implementation of Replace and Reduce on all levels of research. On the R2N homepage the publications of their research groups are published and different information material like posters are offered. Under "Events" you can find reports about past events. Under "Information" there are interesting facts about animal welfare, alternative methods and stress assessment.

"Severity assessment in animal based research" is a collaboration of German and Swiss research groups founded by the German Research Foundation. Their task is to establish an objective and uniform severity assessment for five different animal species. The projects they have funded are listed under the heading "Projects".

In spring 2022, the 8 faculties of medicine of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia joined forces to form the 3R Competence Network NRW. The aim of the network is to bring biomedical research and medical progress in line with the best possible animal welfare. At the focus of the network is the 3R principle: replace, reduce and refine. By creating a platform for scientific exchange as well as expanding the offer of training and further education, the 3Rs competence network creates new synergies in NRW.

3R-SMART is a BMBF-funded information and training platform on alternative and complementary methods to animal testing, which is aimed at interested laypersons as well as scientists and technical staff. The acronym 3R-SMART stands for "3R training platform for methodological approaches to the reduction of animal experiments". In addition to various content on 3R topics, 3R-SMART also offers researchers the opportunity to present their own 3R projects. "3R-SMART" is linked to the "LAS interactive" platform and thus offers an interface between animal research and alternative methods.
